The community of Corinth School District
is comprised of six towns: Corinth, Hadley, Luzerne, Day,
Greenfield and Wilton. The total school district is 85
square miles in area. The District's motto: "Excellence in
student achievement through excellence in teaching,
support services and management."
The District has three main administrative units:
Elementary K-4; Middle School 5-8; and High School 9-12.
The enrollment is approximately 1400 students.
The elementary school opened in 1996 and is housed off
Center Street in the Village of Corinth. The elementary
school is enhanced by an $ 80,000 playground with was
constructed in 1996. The middle and high schools are
housed at the Oak
Street Complex. The school district includes threee sets
of athletic fields which serves 16 sports. The athletic
complex includes an all weather track which was recently
constructed.
District highlights include: student/achievement scores
which are most competitive relative to Saratoga County and
New York State students, Cultural Arts Program, safe
school environment, IBM computer network in elementary,
Gifted/Talented Program, Youth-at-Risk Program, active
PTAS's, Drama, Full Day kindergarten, intramural &
interscholastic sports programs, computer labs in
elementary, middle and high schools, many student clubs
and organizations, band and chorus, assistance of social
worker, psychologist, attendance officer and All Sports
Booster Club.
