The Ballston Spa Central School District is located in
Saratoga County approximately 7 miles south of Saratoga
Springs, 30 miles north of Albany, and 200 miles north of
New York City. The public school district was formed in
1952 from a union free school district and later added
whole or parts of 14 common school districts.
A diversified socioeconomic population resides within the
suburban district of an estimated 20,000 residents in a 60
square mile area, which includes residents of the village
of Ballston Spa. The school district also encompasses
portions of the towns of Ballston, Charlton, Malta, and
Milton.
